The Cookbook | |
Foreword
This cookbook is the logical consequence of tens of thousands of medical tests and responds to a wish expressed by many persons who took these tests to improve their figures under my supervision or that of my partner doctors.
Like the Rohner Concept itself, this cookbook originated in Switzerland, which of course puts a certain linguistic stamp on its vocabulary. The German equivalent of Swiss expressions and terms is thus given in brackets where appropriate.
The cookbook is intended to help stimulate the reader’s imagination to prepare rapid and diversified meals using the many different kinds of foods that enable a personalized program of weight control. The possibility of choosing various combinations according to individual taste enhances the enjoyment of the food prepared and allows for a diversified range of menus.
Since we all have a human metabolism, those foods which stimulate the building of reserves, and thus the production of fat, both immediately and over the long term are the same for all persons who experience a problem in maintaining their figure.
We have been careful to ensure that all of the recipes presented in this book are suitable for all metabolic types.
Individual persons however can eat additional foods, without stimulating the accumulation of reserves in their body.
If you would like to know what foods are allowed additionally for your metabolic type, you have the possibility of taking the appropriate metabolic tests under my care or that of a partner doctor trained by me.
All of the recipes contained in this book were designed for 4 persons.
Many people helped in the preparation of this book. My special thanks go to Nadine Soller and Susanne Federer as well as to professional gastronomist Klaus Riedel of the Hotel Tgesa Scarpatetti in Savognin/Cunter for his expert support.
